Our new tiny whares and workshop are open and are in use by clients at the Auckland Intensive site.
Recently ABI’s Chaplain blessed and opened the whares with many of the Auckland ABI team getting to see and walk through the whares for the first time. A particular karakia was used to signify the new whares and celebrate their arrival at Matariki.
The team joined in with a karakia, blessing, waiata and shared a celebratory kai after the opening of all three whares. The rehabilitation team are looking forward to having the workshop available as part of rehab and therapy programmes.
Early feedback from clients who have used the tiny whares prior to discharge has been very positive.
